Rick Sikes is a practicing artist and educator based in Little Rock Arkansas.   He is now working as artist in residence at The University of Arkansas at Little Rock and has recently earned his Masters of Fine Art degree in Studio Art from Louisiana Tech University’s School of Design. In 2010 he received his Bachelors of Fine Art degree specializing in illustration at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. He is also the owner and director of the Downtown Gallery in Monroe, Louisiana.

 Rick’s recent series focuses on the dangers of prescribed medications, their effects on people and the untrustworthy nature of the pharmaceutical industry. By analyzing the dangers of these medications, his work provides commentary on our current society overwhelmed by pharmaceutical medication manufacturers.
